Currently, One Gift Wonder operates in Australia. We hope to offer our service globally in due course. This means that our charity partners only consist of Australian registered charities at the moment and we can only transfer donations to charities registered on the Australian Charities and Non-for-Profit Commission (ACNC) register. We don’t yet!

For the guests

Great question – we all know there’s no such thing as a free lunch, and it’s the same when you move funds around electronically. The secure payment gateway that we’ve chosen to use, Stripe charges us fees for every contribution made towards campaigns on our website and because we’re only just starting out, we are in no position to absorb this fee for now.

After making your contribution to a campaign, you will see a confirmation on the One Gift Wonder website and One Gift Wonder will send you a receipt via email. If you do not receive receipt, please contact us at [email protected] and we will gladly assist you.

These things can happen! If you make a mistake, please contact us at [email protected] and we will get in touch at our earliest convenience and try to resolve any issues for you.

The host will see guests’ contributions unless the guest nominates to make a contribution anonymously by checking the “Make this an anonymous contribution” box.

Before the end of a campaign, One Gift Wonder, at its absolute discretion and on a case-by-case basis may refund contributions made by guests. All such refunds, if any, are made net of any payment gateway fees incurred. If you discover you have made a payment error, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

At the end of the campaign and once the Host’s nominated charity has received their donation amount, the nominated charity will send a letter of acknowledgement to the Host. So please check back with the campaign Host to make sure they have received this letter of acknowledgement.

For a campaign with a 50:50 split (i.e. 50% to the present, 50% to the charity), a contribution of $30 from a guest by credit card means that:

  • The campaign receives $30,
  • The guest contributor is charged $30.83 (including the payment gateway fee).
  • The guest contributor will receive a payment receipt of which $15 is tax deductible from the One Gift Wonder Fund.
